mandi70 Posted May 11, 2009 Report Posted May 11, 2009 Hi There, R reg 2.3 Automatic wouldn't start, son sat in it and wiggled key while running through gearbox.i.e park, drive, reverse etc. Started in reverse (shouldn' have but did). Now it is stuck in drive, any ideas gratefully received. Mandi Quote

chromedome Posted May 12, 2009 Report Posted May 12, 2009 Could be the gearbox ECU. You could try disconnecting the battery, make sure you have the radio code, for about half an hour and try again. I've heard that the wiring between the gearbox and ECU can wear through and short out. So you could check this whilst the battery is disconnected. Quote
